translation
I provide specialist translation and MT post-editing services for the financial services sector, insurance, the energy industry, local government, IT and tourism, producing top quality translations of business and financial reports, company accounts, presentations, press releases, websites, corporate literature and business correspondence. I translate/edit from Spanish and Catalan to UK English.
CAT tools I use include Trados Studio 2021, Wordbee and DéjàVu, and I can quickly adapt to using any proprietary tool provided by clients for translating or post-editing.
training
With my business background, I can provide expert coaching in business terminology, and on how to give presentations, communicate in meetings, and negotiate in English.
So much business today is conducted online and using information and communication technology. I can help students build the confidence they need to attend meetings using tools like Zoom and Teams, and to communicate by WhatsApp, e-mail or telephone.
about me
I qualified as an accountant and worked for a number of years as a financial manager and consultant in the City of London. Since moving to Spain in 1997 I have specialised in translating and teaching business English, including six years as a manager in a Barcelona language services company.
